Assemble The Unit

Remove cap from end of
lower boom. Push cutting
attachment add-on into
coupler. Turn coupler knob
clockwise to tighten.
Assemble The Unit
Mix thoroughly in separate
fuel can:
– 3.2 fl. oz. of 2-cycle
engine oil
– 1 gallon of unleaded
gasoline
NOTE: Do not mix directly in
fuel tank.
Place unit on a level surface.
Fill fuel tank.
Press primer bulb 10 times,
or until fuel is visible
Crouch in starting position.
SQUEEZE and HOLD
throttle for ALL further
steps.
Pull rope 5 times.
Move choke lever to
Position 2 and squeeze
throttle.
Pull rope 3-5 times to start
engine. Run unit for 30-60
seconds to warm up.
Continue to squeeze
throttle.Move choke lever
to Position 3.

Remove all contents from

bolt and tighten.

Replace Trimmer Line

Rotate the bump knob
clockwise until all line is
inside the cutting head.
Using a flat-head screwdriver,
insert the tip into the line dimple,
just under the exposed portion of
the line, and pull all the line out.
Align the arrows on the
bump knob with the
spool cover eyelets.
Using 16 ft. of 0.095 in. line; push both
ends through the holes in the bump knob
until they protrude through the eyelets.
Hold the spool cover, turn the bump
knob clockwise to wind the line around
the spool until about 5 in. is protruding
from each side of the cutting head.
Start the unit and bump the cutting
head on the ground until the
desired cutting length is achieved.
Pull the line until approximately
8 ft. is visible on each side.

Place the shield onto the
mount bracket. Securely
screw the 4shield screws
through the holes on the
mount bracket and into the
shield. Make sure the screws
are tightened equally.

DIDN’T START?

move choke lever to position 3 and pull
the starter rope until engine starts

Regularly check, change, and add oil to your engine if needed. Keeping up with oil changes will greatly increase the overall life and quality of your equipment. Be sure to use the right volume and quality of oil for your specific equipment. Do not overfill.
Before servicing any power equipment, follow the safety instructions laid out in your owner’s manual. Make sure the equipment is completely stopped, cooled down, and that no parts are moving before attempting to service your equipment.
Checking the Oil
- Step 1: Stop the engine and allow it to cool off for several minutes.
- Step 2: Place your unit on a flat and level surface. Position it so that the engine is completely level.
- Step 3: Look at the oil level window. The oil should fill the window halfway.
- Step 4: If the oil is below halfway, clean the space around the oil filling plug.
- Step 5: Unscrew the oil filling plug.
- Step 6: Add oil until the its level reaches halfway up the oil level window.
- Step 7: Screw in the oil filling plug.

Changing the Oil
- Step 1: Clean the space around the oil filling plug.
- Step 2: Unscrew the oil filling plug.
- Step 3: Tip the engine up so that the oil pours out of the fill hole and into a container that is suitable for holding the oil.
- Step 4: Properly dispose of the oil oil.
- Step 5: Add 2.03 fl. oz. (60 ml) of SAE 30 oil into the filling hole.
- Step 6: Reinstall the oil filling plug.
